Verna Crossley Minix, born August 26, 1930 in Blanco, Texas, passed away on October 14, 2009 at the age of 79 years in San Antonio, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Wade Crossley, and her son, Douglas Minix. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth W. Minix of 60 years, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law, and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 3:00pm at Western Hills Christian Church, 8535 Huebner Rd. with Pastor Rusty Wright officiating. Interment of her ashes by the family will take place at a later date in the Blanco Texas Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be made to Western Hills Christian Church.
