Band Travels to San Antonio for Contest - School - Blanco County News

The Blanco High School Marching Band traveled to San Antonio on Saturday, October 10 to participate in the Judson Rocket Review.

They competed against eight other bands and placed third. They placed second the previous Saturday when they performed in the Roosevelt Rough Rider Marching Contest.

The band performed the music of “Lawrence of Arabia” under the field direction of Drum Major Keith Baize and Assistant Drum Major Jesse Troublefield. The band is under the direction of Band Director David Shirk and Assistant Brandon Aly.

The band will travel to East Central High School on Monday, October 19 for UIL Marching Contest.
