Panther Band Advances to Area - Community News - Blanco County News

On Monday, October 19, the Blanco Panther Band traveled to East Central High School in San Antonio to participate in the Region 12 UIL Marching Contest.

The band performed ‘Lawrence of Arabia’ and received all Division I ratings from each of the three judges.

This was the seventh consecutive year the Panther Band has received a first division rating in marching and their fourth consecutive advancement to Area. In 2005, the Panther Band qualified for the UIL State Marching Contest.

The band will march this Saturday, October 24 at East Central High School in San Antonio at 11:00am for our UIL Area E performance. Finals will begin at 7:30pm and State bands will be announced after 10:00pm.
