Stonewall, Texas — The Friends of Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park are offering a second chance at a bike tour of the LBJ Ranch hosted by Luci Baines Johnson, President and Mrs. Johnson’s younger daughter, on Sunday, October 25, at 2:00pm. Registration will be on site starting at 1:00pm.

The historical bike tour, which will cover approximately seven miles, also includes a tour of the living room, dining room, kitchen and presidential office in the Texas White House. The cost is $20.00 for adults (ages 13 and higher), $15.00 for children (ages 12 and under), and a group rate of $50.00 for a family of three persons or more. The bike tour has a limit of 200 participants.

Participants in the bike ride are encouraged to make a day of it in the parks, both at Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park (the LBJ Ranch) and Lyndon B. Johnson State Park and Historic Site, which has many attractions including the Sauer Beckmann Farm, nature trails and wildlife, bison and Longhorn enclosures, and free fishing (no permit needed) on the Pedernales River. Picnic groves at the state park are available for those who wish to bring lunch or snacks.

Proceeds will benefit the educational programs and initiatives of the Friends of Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park.

President and Mrs. Johnson were dedicated to the furtherance of education in all its forms, a mission which is upheld by both of their daughters to this day.
