Panthers Take District Lead with Win Over Longhorns

The Panthers demonstrated their strongest complete volleyball match this season on Friday, October 16, shutting out the Harper Lady Horns 3-0. When the two teams battled earlier in district play, Harper won 3-1. The Lady Horns were undefeated in district and Blanco had only one district loss to Harper. The Panthers played consistent offense and defense the entire match with outstanding serving, setting, digging and killing. Every point was an exciting battle with the final game scores 25-23, 25-23, 26-24.

The Blanco Junior Varsity suffered a loss to Harper 22-25 and 16-25. The Freshman team won a close match 25-19, 25-27, and 25-15.

The Panthers play Johnson City at the JCHS gym on Friday, October 27 at 4:00 and 5:00.
