The Panthers received the opening kick-off and quickly marched the field, with Devlin Moore on a 20 yard pass reception and Carson Kipp rushing for 27 yards on 3 carries down to the 4 yard line. Devlin Moore punched in the TD, and Aikman Elrod passed to Logan Dodd for the PAT, putting Blanco up 8-0. After forcing Harper to punt, Carson Kipp dashed 35 yards down to the 1 yard line, and on the ensuing play bulled his way in for the TD. Aikman again connected with Dodd for the PAT pass, and the Panthers were up 16-0. Alex Juarez then gave Blanco the ball right back on an interception, and Logan Dodd outraced the Longhorns on a 27-yard TD run, giving Blanco a 22-0 halftime lead.

In the 2nd half, Grant Calzoncit forced a fumble recovered by Blanco, and Aikman Elrod scored on a 12 yard run. Devlin Moore ran in the PAT, and the Panthers went up 30-0. Harper made one drive deep in Panther territory late in the 4th, but Dru Ramirez intercepted the Longhorns to close out the game. The 7th grade improved to 6-0 on the year and they face Johnson City this Thursday in JC.

The Longhorns received the opening kick-off and were quickly introduced to Brian Brecka, who made three great tackles in a row to force the punt. Dakota Perkins broke free on a 33-yard run down to the 9 yard line. David Ramirez ran in for the score on the ensuing play, putting Blanco up 6-0. The defense again held Harper and forced a punt, setting up David Ramirez’s next score on a 42-yard run. Grant Eickenloff ran in the PAT, giving Blanco a 14-0 lead. Dakota Perkins intercepted the Longhorns on the next series, returning it for a 40-yard touchdown, but a penalty nullified the score. The Panthers retained possession and David Ramirez dashed 20 yards on a counter for his 3rd TD of the game. Alex Palos ran in the PAT and, at the half, it was Blanco 22-0.

On the 1st play of the 2nd half, Alex Palos darted 57 yards for another Blanco score and, with the PAT good on a run by Eickenloff, the Panthers led 30-0. Harper made one drive into Panther territory late in the game, but John Hodge intercepted the Longhorns to end the scoring threat. The 8th grade improved to 6-0 on the year, and they also face Johnson City this Thursday in JC.
