I adore Sandra Bullock and have enjoyed basically every movie she has been in. The Proposal is just another one of her great romantic comedy's to add to the list!

Margaret Tate (Sandra Bullock) is an abrasive, no-nonsense, (evil?) executive over a publishing house. She is especially hard on her assistant, Andrew Paxton (Ryan Reynolds), who hasn't had a day off to see his family in over three years. When Margaret is threatened with deportation, because she didn't fill out the proper paperwork in time, she comes up with a plan that includes her assistant and engagement. The only reason Andrew agrees to go along with the plan is because there is a BIG promotion in it for him. The only problem with their plan is an immigration official who decides to nit-pick their relationship (because he believes it's fake) and ask friends and family different questions to find out the truth. To show her commitment to her new fiancé, Margaret agrees to celebrate the 90th birthday of his grandmother (Betty White, who we all love and remember from the Golden Girls). She soon finds out that his family doesn't just live a road trip away, but in Alaska!

This movie was really, really funny in some areas, some of which I would have watched over again! Betty White is faboulous (I've always loved her anyway) and I think she puts the icing on the cake. There was one scene that was a little predictable and reminded me of While you were Sleeping, but it was still a great movie that I highly recommend! 3 1/2 paws!!
