•Blanco Verde is proud to present the 1st meeting of its book club, which will meet the 2nd Thursday of every month at Joyful Noise, 520 Pecan. The first meeting is Thurs, Nov. 12 at 6pm. Book to be discussed is Michael Pollan’s Omnivore’s Dilemma. Dr. Charlie Tesar will lead discussion.

•American Legion’s Veteran’s Parade & Spaghetti Dinner: Parade line-up at the Blanco Cemetery at 9:30am. Everyone welcome to participate. Trailer available for veterans to ride. Spaghetti dinner served following the Veteran’s program at Bindseil Park. Dinner: $6 adults and $3 children (under 12); includes meatballs, garlic bread, salad, tea and dessert. •Antiques Appraisal Event: Nov. 14 at the Old Blanco County Court House beginning at 12:15pm. Certified antique appraisers from San Antonio will evaluate one item for $10 or 3 items for $25. All proceeds will go to the Blanco Library.
