Several local Blanco FFA members have spent the first six weeks of the school year attending various leadership camps at the district and area levels. Freshmen FFA members Grady Childress, Payton Duvall, Kevin Vizcaino, Mindy Dechert, and Brooks Lane traveled to New Braunfels to take part in the Area VII FFA Greenhand camp at New Braunfels High School on September 15th. While at the camp, these students took part in various leadership building activities while also becoming familiar with the FFA and Area VII. Following the area greenhand camp, additional members from the Blanco FFA Chapter traveled to Ingram on the 19th to take part in the Hill District FFA Day Camp hosted by Ingram High School. Members attending the district camp included: Taylor McCormick, Keaton Dodd, Grayson Elrod, Ethan Evans, Kaleigh Anderson, Braden Batey, Payton Duvall, Kevin Vizcaino, Derek Flores, Mindy Dechert, David Hostetler, Claire Klepac, and Tanner Reddout. Claire would also serve as one of the camp organizers and presenters as she is serving as a Hill District Officer.
