The varsity track team traveled to Junction for the District 8 2A meet. The first, second and third places of each event will advance on to the Regionals.

The 4x100 meter girls relay team consisting of Sierra Martinez, Lauren Jenkins, Madeline Walker and Kylie Hill took third place with a time of 52.70. The boys 4x100 meter relay consisting of, Chantel Young, Kevin gray, David Hostetler and Layton Dworaczyk took fourth place with a time of 44.97

Lacee Hunter took second in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.84 and Cody Harvey took first place in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.51.

Lauren Winn placed fourth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.65 and Chantel took third place with a time of 11.93.

The 4x200 girls meter relay team, Lauren Winn, Kylie Hill, Lauren Jenkins and Madeline Walker took third place with a time of 1:51.74 while the boys 4x200 meter relay team, Dillion Luke, Layton Dworaczyk, Kevin Gray and David Hostetler took fourth place with a time of 1:36.15.

Andrew Kohl took second place in the 400-meter dash with a time of 54.17.

In the 300-meter hurdles, Lacee Hunter took fourth place with a time of 52.30 and Cody Harvey finished first in the 300-meter high hurdles with a time of 42.00.

Sierra Martinez took second place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 28.10 followed by Kylie Hill who placed fifth with a time of 28.73. Kevin Gray took fourth place in the boys 200-meter dash with a time of 24.08 followed by Dillion Luke who took sixth place with a time of 24.90.

Madeline Walker, Lauren Winn, Lauren Jenkins and Lacee Hunter took third place in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 4:26.48. David Hostetler, Andrew Kohl, Joseph Romero and Cody Harvey took fifth place in the boys 4x400 meter relay with a time of 3:42.75

In the field events Chelsea Fuller took sixth place in the discus with a throw of 78’07”. Blake West took fourth place in the high jump as he cleared 5’4”. In the girls long jump Lacee Hunter took fourth place with a jump of 15”8 3/4” and David Hostetler took fourth place in the boys long jump with a jump of 19’10 1/4”.

Henry Greathouse placed fifth in the shot put ring as he threw for 41’3 1/4”.

In the triple jump pit, Lacee Hunter took fifth place with a jump of 31’7” and David Hostetler took second place with a jump of 41’11 1/2”.

The Varsity Girls finished sixth over all with 70 points and the varsity boys took fourth with a total of 76 points.

Going to regionals will be Sierra Martinez, Lauren Jenkins, Madeline Walker, Kylie Hill, Lacee Hunter, Cody Harvey, Chantel Young, Andrew Kohl, Lauren Winn and David Hostetler.
