Jesus said – “44And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.”

When I read this I was so drawn to learn all that was written in the law of Moses, the prophets and psalms, so I’ve been reading! And I share the following, knowing someone will benefit from it, because God watches over His Word to perform it, (Jeremiah 1:12), and it doesn’t return back to Him void! (Isaiah 55:11)

Zechariah 7:8-14 – “8And the word of the LORD came unto Zechariah, saying,

9Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and show mercy and compassions every man to his brother:

10And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.

11But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear.

12Yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the LORD of hosts hath sent in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore came a great wrath from the LORD of hosts.

13Therefore it is come to pass, that as he cried, and they would not hear; so they cried, and I would not hear, saith the LORD of hosts:

14But I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations whom they knew not. Thus the land was desolate after them, that no man passed through nor returned: for they laid the pleasant land desolate.” KJV

There was a reference of Ezekiel 5:11 – “11Therefore, as I live, says the Lord God, surely because you have defiled My sanctuary with all your detestable things and with all your abominations, therefore will I also diminish you and withdraw My eye that it shall not spare you. And I also will have no pity.” NIV

The sanctuary or another version says temple, could be a building, or it could be us, because we are the temple of the Lord, according to Paul in 1 Corinthians 3:16 – “16Do you not discern and understand that you [the whole church at Corinth] are God’s temple (His sanctuary), and that God’s Spirit has His permanent dwelling in you [to be at home in you, collectively as a church and also individually]? AMP

And, he also said in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 – “ 19Do you not know that your body is the temple (the very sanctuary) of the Holy Spirit Who lives within you, Whom you have received [as a Gift] from God? You are not your own,

20You were bought with a price [purchased with a preciousness and paid for, made His own]. So then, honor God and bring glory to Him in your body.” AMP

And he said in Ephesians 2:21 – “21In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord.” NIV

1 Peter 2:5 – “5[Come] and, like living stones, be yourselves built [into] a spiritual house, for a holy (dedicated, consecrated) priesthood, to offer up [those] spiritual sacrifices [that are] acceptable and pleasing to God through Jesus Christ.” AMP

We are the Church. We are the temple of the Lord. We need to do some temple cleaning! Selah

Revelations 21:22 – “22I saw no temple in the city, for the Lord God Omnipotent [Himself] and the Lamb [Himself] are its temple.” AMP

“Acquaint now thyself with God, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee.” Job 22:21

God be with you and yours.
