Starlight Symphony Announces Holiday Concert Series

The Starlight Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Donald K. Miller, announces their Holiday concert schedule for the 2009-2010 Season! The first concert will be held on Saturday, December 5, at the Central Administrative Offices Auditorium (a.k.a. Old Blanco High School) in Blanco at 7:30pm. The second concert will be on Sunday the 6th at St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Wimberley at 4:00 pm.

The Starlight Symphony is a regional, community orchestra for Wimberley, Driftwood, Dripping Springs, Oak Hill, Buda, Kyle, Lockhart, San Marcos, Canyon Lake, Blanco, Johnson City, and surrounding Central Texas communities.

The Holiday Concert Series will feature A Christmas Festival by Leroy Anderson and Arcangelo Corelli’s Christmas Concerto along with many Holiday favorites including a sing-along. As always, these concerts are free but donations are appreciated.

There will also be a special Holiday performance of Handel’s Messiah and you can sing along! You can be a star and join the members of The Starlight Symphony and sing this amazing masterwork! There will be one performance only on Sunday, December 20, at The Wimberley Community Center at 4:00pm.
