The Hill Country 100 Club, founded in 2002, is the only citizen-sponsored charitable organization established to support the families of law enforcement officers, firefighters, and emergency medical service personal.
The Hill Country 100 Club announced today that, at the special request of the City of Sunrise Beach, Texas, they have provided funding for the purchase of Body Armor for their police officers.
The Hill Country 100 Club Chairman, Dewey Hollingsworth, said that periodically our organization would consider special requests by agencies within our support area for special needs. We currently support Burnet, Llano and Blanco County First Responders.
We are pleased that we could help Police Chief Ben Ablon and the City of Sunrise Beach with the purchase of this life-protecting equipment.
The Hill Country 100 Club began in 2002 when a few citizens got together and decided to organize and provide financial support to the dependents of Burnet County First Responders killed in the line of duty. Today the Hill Country 100 Club has several hundred members and supports law enforcement, firefighters, and emergency medical service personnel in Burnet, Llano, and Blanco Counties and continues to band together for the purpose of aiding dependents of these agencies and responding to their needs. The Hill Country 100 Club invites the community to participate by donating or joining by contacting one of our current Directors or by going to www.hillcountry100club.org. Contributions can be sent to: Hill Country 100 Club, P.O. Box 381, Burnet, Texas 78611.
