Lola Inez Tumlinson Lucko lost her battle with lung cancer on Saturday, December 5 at the age of 84 years old in Spring Branch, Texas. Lola was born in Harwood, Texas on March 11, 1925 to the late Lola Belle and George William Tumlinson. She attended Harwood School. Lola was preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred Lucko, of 64 years; her 6 brothers, Homer, Wilson, Jimmy, Vernon, and Herbert; one sister, Zula; and one half brother, Hollis.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Blanco. She was active in Hermann Sons of Twin Sister, American Legion Lady Auxiliary of Blanco, and Spring Branch Voluntary Fire Department Auxiliary of Spring Branch. She worked for Circle Y Saddlery until she retired for 25 years. Her greatest things in life were: she loved to sew, she loved to cook and she loved her grand children and great grand children.
She is survived by her sister, Zera Cady of Luling; one daughter, Merle Raymond; husband Ronald of Spring Branch; 2 grand children, Mandi Richmond and husband Robert of San Antonio, Richard Raymond and wife Amanda of San Diego, CA; 4 great grand children, (3 boys and 1 girl); numerous nieces and nephews and many friends that she leaves behind.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 9 at Crofts Funeral Home in Blanco, TX from 5-7pm.
A funeral service will be held on December 10 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blanco, TX at 10am. Burial will be at Shiner Cemetery in Shiner, TX at 3pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to the Spring Branch Voluntary Fire Department, Spring Branch, TX or to Hospice Compassus, San Antonio, TX.
