Blanco A. R. M. Reaches Across the Border with Love in Action
Wednesday, December 9, 2009 • Posted December 8, 2009

Rain poured and winds blew as a team from Ark Revival Ministries, (A.R.M.) Blanco, Texas, drove to Cuidad Acuña, Mexico, on Friday, November 20, 2009. The mission was to deliver donated goods, love, and hard work to a children’s home, Casa Hogar Manto Coahuila, across the border from Del Rio, Texas. White Stone Ministries, founded by Dr. Ronnie Sherman and his wife Anna Sherman, assumed full operations of the home in March 2009, after the former staff were dismissed by Mexican officials. The Sherman’s began the arduous task of improving the atrocious physical living conditions and rebuilding the hope of the remaining seven children who have suffered a life of abuse and neglect.

After receiving a newsletter from White Stone Ministries, A.R.M. responded to the call to help in July 2009, by taking the first trip to provide immediate organization, cleaning, and needed items. Both trips have been a community effort that have resulted in much relief to these often forgotten children. On this return trip, the children welcomed the team from Blanco, with Texas sized hugs, which melted our hearts, which came out our eyes. It was later explained that for most of these children, all they know is abandonment; people leave and never come back. This second mission trip became an instrument to build hope. The language barrier is not a problem, the children understand our love in action.

Thank you to the Blanco Community for your prayers, generous financial contributions, support, and donations of clothing, furniture, and supplies.

James 1:27 ASB” This is pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father, to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.”
