First and foremost, Glen and Ruby Barnard recently attended a graduation celebration for their daughter-in-law, Jennifer Kitchen, who graduated from Incarnate Word College in San Antonio. She has been pursuing this for a long time and they are VERY proud of her (so are we)! She had a 3.9GPA and graduated summa cum laude. While in San Antonio they also celebrated Ruby’ s birthday - it was December 16th. I told her I was going to wish her a belated happy birthday here - so Happy Birthday, Miss Ruby!!! And many more!

If you missed the community Christmas play held at First Baptist here in Blanco, you missed a tremendous production! The kids came from all over the area to participate, and participate they did - I, for one, hope they do it again next year. And I think I saw the editor’s daughter singing her little lungs out as an angel!!!!!

I hope you all heard the carolers Wednesday night - BUMC had a hay wagon full of singers and I heard the Baptists did too - it was an accidental ecumenical effort, and a good time was had by all!!!

Merry Christmas, Feliz Navidad, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanza, and a Happy even if you don’t celebrate anything!!!
