Dear Editor,

I'd like to clarify an article that appeared about me on the front page of the Dec. 23, 2009, issue, "20 Years Later, Group Still Honors Christmas Tradition." This was actually a story idea that I submitted to the newspaper.

I thought it was community news that my article, "Angel Biscuits: The ingredients are only half the story," was published in Guideposts: The Joys of Christmas 2009, a special holiday publication. The cool part was that it was date-lined "Blanco, Texas." Guideposts-an inspirational magazine founded in 1945-reaches nearly 7 million readers worldwide and is ranked among the top 20 largest monthly magazines in the U.S.

You can imagine my disappointment when I saw that the Guideposts story had simply been rewritten for the Blanco County News.

Debbie Stenulson

Blanco, Texas

From the Editor: Ms. Stenulson did indeed submit a story idea and the paper appreciates those who do because the majority of the time that is where our content comes from, reader suggestion. However, it is obvious that the paper misunderstood Ms. Stenulson’s desire to be recognized for the accomplishment of being printed in a popular publication. So, to Debbie, we congratulate you.
