Lucky Leaf 4-H Club Fundraiser
Wednesday, January 13, 2010 • Posted January 12, 2010

Lucky Leaf 4-H Club is selling raffle tickets as their club fundraiser. The tickets are one dollar each, which gives you (2) two chances to win a one-half processed hog (approximately 150 pounds). The raffle drawing will be on Saturday, January 16th, during the Blanco County Stock Show sale at the Blanco County Show Barn in Johnson City. You do not need to be present to win. Proceeds made from the fundraiser will benefit the club through programming and educational opportunities. You can buy tickets from any Lucky Leaf 4-H member or at the stock show on Friday.

4-H is an organization for youth, ages 9-18 (to compete) or 8 and in 3rd grade, which promotes hands-on learning and is based on parent and volunteer participation. 4-H welcomes all youth (and adult volunteers) from all backgrounds in all locales (rural and urban) regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, pregnancy, physical or mental disability, medical condition, ancestry, marital status, age, sexual orientation, citizenship, or status as a covered veteran.

If you live in the Blanco area and are interested in learning new things and improving your leadership skills, then you need to get involved in Lucky Leaf 4-H Club. There are opportunities for youth to become members and officers. Parents and other adults can also get involved by helping with projects and activities.
