Blanco County Responds to Haitian Disaster

![]() Volunteers from Blanco and nearby counties came together at the First United Methodist Church in Johnson City this week to assemble health kits for survivors of the earthquake in Haiti. June Dahmann of Johnson City, left, and Bruce Huguelet of Blanco, right, helped pack more than 400 kits Monday, quitting only when they ran out of supplies. Promising to keep it up as long as they had resources to work with, the volunteers sent out shoppers with donated money to re-stock the assembly line.
