Blanco Chamber of Commerce Announces Annual Banquet to be Held in February
Wednesday, January 27, 2010 • Posted January 26, 2010

The Blanco Chamber of Commerce has set its annual banquet this year for Thursday, the 25th of February at the Blanco Courthouse.

“We’re looking forward to the opportunity to celebrate another successful year for Blanco,” said Marcy Westcott, President of the Blanco Chamber. “Its always a great moment when we can all gather together and recognize our members and volunteers for the time and commitment that they provide to our community.”

The banquet will be held at the Blanco Courthouse in recognition of its increasing importance as one of the premiere historical sites in the Hill Country. “The Courthouse is the center piece of our community and we could think of no better way to acknowledge that than by having our banquet there this year. We welcome everybody to come and join us,” said Westcott.

The Blanco Chamber’s annual banquet has become one of the signature events for the community and this looks to be another of a series of memorable occasions. Author and former Texas Ranger Joaquin Jackson has been lined up to be the keynote speaker.

But the focus of the evening will be a setting with easy dining and the opportunity to get together again. “Blanco is blessed with such a remarkable group of committed people” said Penny Thomas, newly appointed Executive Director of the Chamber. “I’m really looking forward to the chance to get to know the members better and hope that everyone can come.”
