JV Panthers Fall To Granger
Wednesday, September 26, 2007 • Posted September 25, 2007

After coming home from two road games the Panthers were feeling pretty confident about their team and their victories.

Then the Panthers met up with the Lions, the Granger Lions, and though the Panthers confidence was still there it brought down their record, but this is nothing that the Panthers could not over come during their open week.

The Lions hit hard and took the ball in for a touchdown with 1:17 left on the clock in the first period. The Panthers then knew that they would have to play some tough ball.

During the second period the Panthers put six points on the board as Kyle Holmes took the ball into the end zone. But it was not long before Granger scored again. The Panthers quickly struck back with six points of their own as Corey Dowlearn found the end zone. Granger then scored two more touchdowns in five minutes. The teams retired to the locker rooms with a score Blanco 14, Granger 18.

The Lions held the Panthers scoreless in the second half. The Panthers also played a tough defense while only allowing Granger to score once in the second half. The final score was Blanco 14, Granger 26.
