The more I trust God, the more I learn I cannot do anything of my own volition. (Well, yes, I can make decisions, but even those are His will). I cannot breathe by myself, and I cannot walk and move my fingers without any pain, unless it’s His will. God took the pain out of my fingers!
Exodus 20:6 –“And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.”
I used to have pain in my joints, and was diagnosed with a crippling disease, but the Lord delivered me from it. This weekend I literally told the disease it had to leave my body, and I asked the Lord to bind it and cast it out of me, in the name of Jesus. I actually felt it leaving my limbs and entire body. It was truly amazing, and the swelling and inflammation in my joints has left me, and there’s no more pain! My fingers are normal, flexible, and pain free. Hallelujah! The Lord delivered me.
10Now Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath.
11And there was a woman there who for eighteen years had had an infirmity caused by a spirit (a demon of sickness). She was bent completely forward and utterly unable to straighten herself up or to look upward.
12And when Jesus saw her, He called [her to Him] and said to her, Woman, you are released from your infirmity!
13Then He laid [His] hands on her, and instantly she was made straight, and she recognized and thanked and praised God.
14But the leader of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, said to the crowd, There are six days on which work ought to be done; so come on those days and be cured, and not on the Sabbath day.
15But the Lord replied to him, saying, You play actors (hypocrites)! Does not each one of you on the Sabbath loose his ox or his donkey from the stall and lead it out to water it?
16And ought not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath day?
17Even as He said this, all His opponents were put to shame, and all the people were rejoicing over all the glorious things that were being done by Him.
18This led Him to say, What is the kingdom of God like? And to what shall I compare it?
19It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his own garden; and it grew and became a tree, and the wild birds found shelter and roosted and nested in its branches.
20And again He said, To what shall I liken the kingdom of God?
21It is like leaven which a woman took and hid in three measures of wheat flour or meal until it was all leavened (fermented).
I love this story, because verse 16 above shows us that disease and infirmities are really from Satan, and not from God. And, if we truly believe God is our Healer, the Lord Jesus will heal us if we ask Him to, then we can receive from Him.
I know, not everyone receives healing. The bible says some things happen to us because of disobedience, and turning from God. In fact, the following Scriptures are what Paul said about sexual perversions and disobedience. Don’t get mad at me for sharing it. I’m doing this to help someone who might not have ever read it in their bible. Lives are at stake here, since our spirits don’t die when our bodies do, but continue to live somewhere. God holds us accountable for what we know, and as we learn, we have to share it with others, so they might learn, too.
Romans 1:16-32 “16 For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile. 17 This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.”
God’s Anger at Sin
18 But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness. 19 They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them. 20 For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.
21 Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused. 22 Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools. 23 And instead of worshiping the glorious, ever-living God, they worshiped idols made to look like mere people and birds and animals and reptiles.
24 So God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies. 25 They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen. 26 That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. 27 And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved.
28 Since they thought it foolish to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their foolish thinking and let them do things that should never be done. 29 Their lives became full of every kind of wickedness, sin, greed, hate, envy, murder, quarreling, deception, malicious behavior, and gossip. 30 They are backstabbers, haters of God, insolent, proud, and boastful. They invent new ways of sinning, and they disobey their parents. 31 They refuse to understand, break their promises, are heartless, and have no mercy. 32 They know God’s justice requires that those who do these things deserve to die, yet they do them anyway. Worse yet, they encourage others to do them, too.”
But remember:
2 Chronicles 30:9 “For if ye turn again unto the LORD, your brethren and your children shall find compassion before them that lead them captive, so that they shall come again into this land: for the LORD your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if ye return unto him.”
Psalm 103:3 “He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases.”
