Third Annual Father Daughter A Night To Remember
Wednesday, February 17, 2010 • Posted February 16, 2010

It is so rewarding to live in a community that is so supportive of their young ladies and American Cancer Society. Saturday evening over 125 fathers, grandfathers, uncles, brothers, cousins, neighbors, friends, and beautiful young ladies dressed in their Sunday best and attended this years’ Father-Daughter Dance at Gem of the Hill in Blanco.

Klepac Greenhouses furnished beautiful flowering plants that added to the elegance of the pink, purple, and red decorated tables. Balloons filled the room and provided a lot of entertainment to those taking a break from dancing. DJ Ronnie Batchelor kept a variety of music going the entire evening without a break. There were two dance contests for the dads. They were such great sports letting their dates show them the dance steps before the competition.

Dennis and Kenneth Moore’s carriage rides stayed busy through the entire evening giving a most special memory of the event. Willard Gibbons stayed all evening to photograph the couples for long-lasting memories. The evening wouldn’t have been complete without delicious cookies from Subway and pizza from EZ to Stop Shell Station, both in Blanco.

It took so many volunteers to make this so successful; including Blanco National Bank and Suzy Q’s, the pick up location for the photographs.

Thank you again to everyone in Blanco County and the surrounding areas that helped to make this such a great fundraiser of approximately $1,250 for American Cancer Society Relay For Life – Blanco County. We appreciate everyone’s efforts and donations of time and money and are so glad to be a part of such a great community.

Hope to see everyone at Relay on April 24 at the Johnson City football field.
