Snow Visits Blanco County Tuesday
Wednesday, February 24, 2010 • Posted February 23, 2010

Weather channels on Monday predicted snowfall for the Hill Country all day Tuesday.

Expecting that once again Blanco County would miss the white stuff, residents were surprised when giant, fluffy flakes began to descend Tuesday morning.

Blanco saw little accumulation, but areas just north of us received enough to actually make the area white. Schools in Johnson City closed early at 10:10 and Blanco ISD followed suit with a 1 pm early release, with classes not scheduled to resume until 10:00 am on Wednesday.

Temperatures were expected to fall throughout the day on Tuesday, but will be warmer by Wednesday afternoon.
