Blanco County Democratic Party Announces Precinct Conventions

The Blanco County Democratic Party will hold precinct conventions beginning 7:00 pm at the conclusion of voting on Tuesday, March 2, 2010. The locations are as follows:

Precinct 102: Blanco ISD Building (former home of Doris Cox located behind Masonic Lodge) 1015 Elm Street, Blanco, Texas

Precincts 201-202: Johnson City Volunteer Fire Department, 300 Liveoak, Johnson City, TX

Precincts 302, 303 and 304: Community Park Building (Swimming Pool), 620 N. Nugent, Johnson City, Texas

Precincts 401 and 402: Old Blanco County Courthouse Preservation Society Building, 300 Main Street, Blanco, Texas

Please plan to attend your precinct convention – even if you voted by absentee, your presence is necessary to the success of these precinct conventions.

The purpose of the precinct conventions is to elect delegate and alternates to the County Convention and to propose resolutions for consideration at the County Convention.

The Blanco County Democratic County Convention will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2010, at 10:00 AM at the Johnson City Elementary/Middle School Cafeteria, 303 North LBJ Drive, Johnson City, Texas. Delegates and alternates for the State Democratic Party Convention will be selected at the County Convention. The State Convention will be held June 25-26, 2010, at the Convention Center in Corpus Christi, Texas, 1902 North Shoreline Blvd.
