Texas Tech University at Fredericksburg and the Hill Country University Center have rescheduled an information session (previously canceled due to snow) on navigating the College Financial Aid process for Thursday, March 11, at the Fredericksburg High School Library at 5:30 p.m. Financial aid advisors will give a presentation, answer questions, and assist students with application forms. Students planning to attend any college and parents are invited to attend. A session in Spanish will also be held.
Additional information on how to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form will be presented. All students applying for college financial aid must complete the FAFSA form to determine eligibility for federal student aid.
The session is sponsored by the Hill Country University Center with its partners Texas Tech University at Fredericksburg and Austin Community College. Local advisors from both colleges will also present information and answer questions about degree programs available in Fredericksburg.
Austin Community College will also have their Mobile Go Van there with computers set up for students to work on their FAFSA and college applications. Bi-lingual advisors will be available to assist participants. For more information, please call the Texas Tech University at Fredericksburg office at 830-990-2717.
