Once again it’s time for the annual Dinner and a Movie fundraiser event sponsored by the Friends of the Blanco Library.

Mark your calendars for 6 p.m. March 19, when the Friends will host 100 diners in the historic Old Blanco County Courthouse.

The theme will be Irish this year, in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. A gourmet meal will be served under the guidance of Sibby Barrett of Onion Creek Kitchens, including Irish Wings with Guinness, Irish Beef Stew with Barley, Irish Leek and Potato Porridge, Beet Salad with Goat Cheese, Apples and Oranges, Bailey’s Irish Cream Brownies, Mini Orange Cranberry Scones, and assorted beverages.

At approximately 7:30 p.m. diners will adjourn to the Blanco Library to see the classic John Wayne film, The Quiet Man.

Tickets for both dinner and the movie are available at the Blanco Library for $12.00.
