The Hurt Locker was a good film, but I’m not sure it deserved best picture. The movie drags a little here and there, but there’s plenty of action to get you through the slow spots.

They tried to make a movie that was based on how it is in Iraq and not a bunch of bunk or political agenda’s of how the director views the war or our government; so in that regard, they succeeded. There doesn’t seem to be a political agenda in this film but they also failed to get some of it right, according to soldiers who have said some of the techniques and protocol used were off base.

Either way you look at it, you better be able to keep your cool when trying to spot and disengage roadside bombs; this is the main theme as you follow along with a team trained to do just that. Personally, I would like to see a real documentary following our brave soldiers that do just what this movie is portraying. 2 ½ paws
