The Panthers rallied from behind to beat the Bobcats last Friday night 8-5.

Trailing 3-1 going into the third inning, Blanco exploded for seven runs. Justin Warner opened it up with a three-run double, Kevin Gray picked up the easy RBI by being clipped by the pitch with bases loaded and Ethan Evans had an RBI single. Blanco picked up five hits in the inning.

Ross McCormick went seven strong innings scattering five hits and striking out nine.

Warner was two for four with three RBI’s.

McCormick was two for four.

Kevin Gray picked up two RBI’s.

Shane Klein scored two runs, walked twice and was hit by the pitch.

For the fourth year in a row Blanco has won the District crown.

Ditto for the Blanco JV team as they defeated Comfort to win District.

Blanco thumps Mason 13-1

Blanco traveled to Mason on Monday, April 21 and finished the year with a victory over the Punchers.

Shane Klein picked up his third win on the year giving up only one run and striking out three. Justin Warner and Lance Gottardy pitched in relief striking out five and giving up only one hit in three innings.

Ross McCormick and Shane Klein each had home runs. McCormick hit his seventh on the year went three for four with four RBI’s. Klein had two RBI’s. Kevin Gray, Justin Warner, and Austin Thompson each had two hits.

Blanco finishes the year at 19-9 overall and 9-1 in district play, and will enter the playoffs in a couple of weeks against an opponent to be named later.
