Wednesday, March 24, 2010 • Posted March 23, 2010

Layton Dworaczyk, along with 38 Texas high school football players, was an honored guest of Ford Motor Co. and Texas Ford Dealerships at a Built Ford Tough Texas High School Football Player of the Year Banquet Dinner and Awards ceremony at the new Dallas Cowboys Football Stadium in Dallas, Texas on Saturday, March 6. The event was to recognize and honor each player for their outstanding performance on and off the field, and for earning Built Ford Tough Player of the Week.

Ford Motor Co. provided air transportation and hotel accommodations for the players and a guest. Layton and his mother, Bonnie Palmer, spent an evening full of excitement. Upon arrival at the stadium, the players were greeted by the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders, Ford Motor Co., Texas Ford dealership owners and yes, Jay Ratliff, #90 Cowboys defense nose tackle.

They proceeded with a tour of the new stadium and to see pictures and stats of themselves on every screen there. In the Cowboys locker room, hanging in each Cowboy locker were new football jerseys, with each attendees name and number, along with personalized name signs, caps, bags, etc. Jay Ratliff signed autographs and talked with each player individually. Ford provided a seated dinner and followed with the awards ceremony. Each attendee was sized for a Built Ford Tough Player of the Week ring.

Layton finished his senior high school football season with the highest record ever recorded at Blanco ISD; 2587 rushing yards and a total of 47 touchdowns. He will be attending Texas A&M Kingsville in June 2010, where he will continue his love of this sport. He would like to express his gratitude to Ford Motor Co., Blanco Panther Coaches and the fans for all the support and encouragement you haven given throughout the years.

The Player of the Week Banquet / Season Recap show will be broadcast on Fox Sports Southwest on March 25 at 6:00 p.m. and March 26 at 10:00 p.m..
