Arts From the Heart Benefit From All Day Concert
Wednesday, March 31, 2010 • Posted March 30, 2010

On March 6, 2010, local musicians gave of their time and talents to help a local organization! Arts From The Heart is a non-profit organization that provides cultural art to the youth of Wimberley at no charge.

Local talent was all too eager to help this valuable organization raise funds.

Albert, Texas was the perfect location for this Hill Country music concert. Albert, located on FM 1623, is a popular stop for tourists and locals alike.

It exudes country charm as you walk through the grounds and sit by the roaring fire or quench your thirst at the open-air bar. The day was full of fabulous singer/songwriters donating their talents.

The list of impressive entertainment started with Pake Rossi, Ty Dietz and Jake Martin, WC Jameson, Laurie Wagner Buyer, T & C Miller, and ShAnnie with Penny Ney.

This all-day concert just kept growing with talents, like Kevin Higgins and Barbara Maltese, Art & Lisa, Royce Laskoskie and Levi Darr, and the evening went into full swing with Jimmy Lee Jones, Bill Nash, and The Ben Beckendorf Band.

“It is an incredible thing these musicians have done for Arts From The Heart. The fact that all these people would give their time and talents to help make sure that cultural art and music are available to the youth of Wimberley is amazing,” said Denise Treadwell, Executive Director.

We are also thankful to the following businesses that helped to sponsor the event: Ameritex Builders, Hye Spirits, Hill Country Listings.com, Lindig’s, King Feed Garden and Hardware, Wimberley Valley Spirits, Wimberley and Fredericksburg Ace Hardware stores, and Canfor.
