Democratic Women’s Club Hosts Local Candidates
Wednesday, March 31, 2010 • Posted March 30, 2010

The Kendall County Area Democratic Women (KCADW) will meet at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 8th, at the Holiday Inn Express in Boerne. Guest speakers will include many of the candidates who are up for election in May. Because these races are non-partisan, the KCADW forum is intended to assist the public in getting to know the candidates and their positions on various issues. Each candidate will make a brief self-introduction and then be given the opportunity to briefly outline any position he or she wishes to highlight. The forum will then be open to questions from the audience. The public is welcome to attend and political affiliation with the Democratic Party is not required.

City of Fair Oaks Ranch mayoral andidates Cheryl Landman and Frank Pickart will attend, as will a number of candidates running for the single-member district positions on the Boerne city council. In addition, candidates running for the Boerne School Board will attend, as will several candidates competing for positions on the Cow Creek Groundwater Conservation District.

Election day is Saturday, May 8th. Early voting begins on April 26th. Further information about early voting dates, as well as election day sites and times, will be provided. For more information about this forum, please contact Jean Robitaille at (830) 981-4971.
