Dear Blanco Community, Family & Friends,

I know you have heard many times about what a beautiful place Blanco is. The rivers, the deer along the road, the fresh air, the stars at night and small town hominess. How many times in today’s day & time do we hear about beautiful people? There are beautiful people that make up the town of Blanco that make it so special. It’s time for me to Thank & Honor them.

My son, Nathan, passed away on Dec. 22, 2007. After a beautiful burial ceremony in the Blanco cemetery (where he wished to be with his Pa-Pa), a man that coached my son on the Blanco Baseball Team presented me with my son’s jersey. I was overtaken with love and emotion and somehow said that Nate had never received his letter jacket. The Coach said, “I’ll take care of that.”

Last weekend I was in town for my brother, Richard Palmer & Bonnie Dworaczyk’s wedding. A box was delivered to me late one night. Inside was my son’s Letter Jacket. Coach Bryan Wyatt, Head Baseball Coach, Blanco HS, was the beautiful person who made that possible. Coach Wyatt, Thank You for your unconditional love & integrity. Now I know why Nate respected you so much. If your players become half the man you are they will be lucky.

I would also like to take this time to Thank Pastor Bobby Leggett of the Trinity Lutheran Church for his Support and Love of me & my family. You have helped me to find peace through this devastating time. Also to all the woman of the church who helped with my son’s reception. Thank You! And last but not least, my brother, Richard Palmer, for being there for my son & loving him as your own.

There are so many other beautiful people that had a great influence in my son’s life in Blanco. You know who you are.

Yes, Blanco is a beautiful place where miracles do happen because of the people that live there. Thanks for your love.

Sincerely,

Pamela Keith-Gerard
