Allen Strandtman, the son of Brian and Yvonne Strandtman, has been selected to participate in the Lott Leadership Institute this summer.

A junior at Blanco High School, Allen was one of 20 students in the southern United States chosen to attend session one of the Institute.

The selection process was highly competitive and took into account GPA, difficulty of curriculum, activities and personal essays.

The LLI takes place at the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Mississippi. While at Ole Miss, he will live on campus and take two courses for college credit.

The month long experience culminates with a week in Washington D.C., where the students will meet with congressmen, senators and enjoy the sites of our nations Capitol.
