Wednesday, April 7, 2010 • Posted April 6, 2010

The Hill Country CattleWomen would like to announce their annual scholarship program for 2010. HCCW is a chapter of Texas CattleWomen and represents fourteen counties in the Hill Country. Applicants from Bandera, Blanco, Edwards, Gillespie, Kendall, Kerr, Kimble, Llano, Mason, McCulloch, Menard, Real, and San Saba are welcome to apply.

Each applicant should be college-level juniors and above with 60 hours or more, and a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Two or more scholarships will be awarded to an agriculture or dietary nutrition major. Additional scholarships are open to any other major with priority given to applicants with an agriculture background.

Students who are interested should send requests for an application to Erin Worrell at 657 Blue Oak Trail, Harper, TX. 78631 or email erin@theranchers resource.com. The deadline for applications is June 1, 2010.

This scholarship program is funded largely from the proceeds from our annual Style Show and Luncheon and the Silent Auction, Raffle, and Live Auction held during the luncheon. Area businesses generously donate and underwrite the luncheon enabling Hill Country CattleWomen to assist area students in their education. This years 26th Annual Style Show and Luncheon will be held on April 13 at the Inn of the Hills Resort and Conference Center in Kerrville. Tickets are $25 and are available by contacting Mary at 830-249-0855.
