An outstanding defensive play was made by Hillary Calzoncit as she stopped a grounder to third base and threw the ball to Gustafson, who tagged the runner out at homeplate. Second baseman Fishbeck made a double-play by catching a fly ball for an out, then throwing to Schwind at first, catching the runner off the base for the next out.

Culton pitched for the win with five strike-outs, two walks, five hits and five runners stranded.
