Donna Lynn Ethridge

Donna Lynn Ethridge passed away at her home surrounded by family on Sunday, April 11, 2010. She was born February 22, 1952 in Blanco, Texas to Chester and Lillian Weber. Donna was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to many.

Donna was born and raised in Blanco, where she was baptized and confirmed at St. Ferdinand’s Catholic Church and graduated from Blanco High School in 1970. She married Michael C. Ethridge, also of Blanco, on December 27, 1970. The couple moved to New Braunfels, Texas and started M.C. Ethridge Construction Company. Donna enjoyed her children and grandchildren. She loved to take them to their family farm and their house at Lake LBJ. She was actively involved in the New Braunfels PTA and Sports Booster Club. Donna loved volunteering and sharing her artistic talents with kids of all ages. She will be remembered for her bright smile, caring nature and the most delicious sugar cookies that she baked with love for all of those lucky enough to know her.

She is survived by her husband, Michael C. Ethridge; children, Matthew and wife Jacquelyn, Marcus and wife Jennifer and Casey Ott and husband Patrick; grandchildren, Magnus, Margo, Maverick and Marian Ethridge and Parker Ott; mother, Lillian Mueller Weber; brothers, Herman Weber and wife Nancy and Will Weber and wife Annette; sister, Lisa Nance and husband Timothy and numerous nieces; nephews and many beloved family friends. Donna was preceded in death by her father, Chester Weber.

Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. Thursday at the Zoeller Funeral Home and continue until 10:30 a.m. Friday. A rosary will be recited Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Zoeller Funeral Home chapel. A funeral mass will be conducted on Friday, April 16, 2010 at 12:00 noon at the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery near Twin Sisters following the mass.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be given to the Cancer Care Center, 448 E. Common St. New Braunfels, Texas 78130
