The Blanco County Extension Education Association Annual Spring Luncheon will be held next week, Thursday, April 22, at the Gem of the Hills citizens community center, 2233 North US Highway 281, Blanco, Texas. Serving will begin at 11:00 am and continue until 1:00 pm. Cost will be $6.00 per person.

Once again, the good cooks of the whole county extension clubs pool their talents and resources to provide a wonderful smorgasbord of main dishes, side dishes, salads, and desserts all for the bargain price of $6.00 per person. What a deal!

Door prizes of beautiful wreaths that have been lovingly created by the same hands that will be preparing the meal will also be awarded throughout the event. Cookbooks, containing the recipes of the delicious dishes, will be available for a bargain price of $3.00 each. An array of miscellaneous goodies from the “country store” will be on sale as well.

The profit from this county wide service project will help to fund county 4-h scholarships for our county youth that plan to advance their education after high school graduation. It is for this wonderful cause that these ladies hold this annual event. Any and all donations toward this end are always welcome.

So mark your calendars and plan to make this event one of your priorities for next week’s schedule. You will not be disappointed.
