Friends of Blanco Library Holds Annual Meeting

Music has played a prominent role in Texas history. At the annual membership meeting for Friends of Blanco Library there will be a program addressing this important aspect of Texas culture. The meeting will be held on May 6, 2010 at the Blanco Library. The program will be presented by Dr. Kathleen Hudson, Founder and Director of The Texas Heritage Music Foundation. Dr. Hudson is also a professor of English at Schreiner University. She will be talking about the history and purpose of the Texas Heritage Music Foundation. Prior to Dr. Hudson’s presentation Nelson Broyal will present several selections for your listening pleasure.

The public is invited to this meeting to enjoy this program. A short business meeting will proceed the program. Community members may find out what Friends of the Blanco Library is all about and membership forms will be available for those who would like to join the organization. The Blanco Library relies heavily on its volunteers and the volunteers in Friends play an important role in supporting the Blanco Library.
