Kendalia Community Club Announces Homecoming
Wednesday, April 28, 2010 • Posted April 27, 2010

The Kendalia Community Club will hold its annual Homecoming on Sunday, June 27, 2010 at the Kendalia Community Club Center.

The Center is located in Kendalia at the corner of Crabapple Road and Hwy 473.

Starting at 11:30 and lasting until 1:30, a traditional barbecue meal with all the sides will be served.

The meal is prepared to perfection by the Kendalia Club members and other volunteers. A large meal costs $7.00, and the smaller portion will be $6.00. You can either eat at the center while visiting with friends or request it to-go.

Desserts are extra and would include delicious cakes, pies, cookies, and brownies. Everyone is invited.

This event is the main fundraiser for the Kendalia Community Club whose mission is to preserve the old Kendalia School property and provide facilities to serve area residents and the public with a meeting place and a library, which is also located in the school building.

This past year, thanks to many generous sponsors and community support, the facilities were expanded by adding a new pavilion and restrooms.

All are invited to historic Kendalia to enjoy a good meal and relax under the oak trees, and a special invitation is made to all the students who attended the Kendalia School and to former area residents who might like to say hello to old friends. Also included in the homecoming celebration is the recognition of the 70th anniversary of the Kendalia School Building.
