Clarence Gail Martin passed away March 31, 2010, at the age of 63, in the North Austin Medical Hospital. He suffered from numerous health complications.
Preceding Gail in death were his parents, Clarence J. and Pauline Eison Martin, sisters, Elizabeth A. Stork and Melba E. Page, and one brother, Carnell J. Martin.
Gail was born February 20, 1947, and was raised in Blanco. He was the youngest of the 11 children. He served two years in the U.S. Army, spending most of that service overseas in Germany.
Gail is survived by his daughter, Joy Gail, her two daughters, Holly Ann and Hailey of Austin, Texas, and his three great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his long-time friend, Katy Burder of Pflugerville, daughter Julie and her husband Blaine Wiley, and sons, Hayden and Landon Wiley of Levelland, Texas. Gail’s surviving siblings are sisters Willie Olfers and Linda Dowdy of Blanco and Dorothy Davis of Davenport, Florida, and brothers Glen Martin of Austin, Texas, Jimmy Martin of Tucson, Arizona, Tommy Martin of Elgin, Texas, and Ralph Martin of Puyallup, Washington.
A family and close friend gathering was held in the home of Linda and Alan Wiley in Round Rock, Texas. A private burial service will be held at a later date.
