Anne Wier Collins passed away May 9, 2010. She was born to Herb and Maggie Wier of Blanco, Texas, on January 18, 1922. She graduated from Blanco High School and attended Southwest Texas State Teachers College. On April 20, 1944, she married L.W. Collins. They made their home in San Antonio.

She was preceded in death by her husband, and her brothers Jack and Ralph Wier. She is survived by her sister, Bonnie W. Eisenschmidt, as well as her nieces, Leslie Shelburne and husband Michael, and Laura Sparkman, all of San Antonio.

Services will be Wednesday, May 12 at 11:00 a.m. at the Blanco United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure or Blanco United Methodist Church. Funeral arrangements by Crofts Funeral Home, 911 Mesquite Street, Blanco, 830-833-4523.
