Has anybody missed the excitement going on around the courthouse? By the time the paper comes out, it will all be over, if things go according to schedule, but some of us, had anybody noticed, acted like star-struck teenagers!
I was holding out for Robert Duvall, but he never materialized. However, Jeff Bridges was seen by quite a few people, and Mattie and her mother shopped locally!
When we see the latest version of “True Grit,” which is due out Christmas Day, we can say we know exactly where the courtroom scene took place - at our courthouse! Many thanks to Carolyn Boydston for the invitation to lunch with the crew -I am so sorry I missed it.
There was a really nice turn-out for the Cudd family on Saturday, and they (and I) really appreciated it. The food was wonderful and the music was great, but the friends getting together was the best.
I had never been up to K&D Carriages’ headquarters - it is beautiful up there! I will have to think of a reason to go again!
Just an FYI - if those of you who know me see me and/or my truck in town and you wave and I don’t, don’t be offended - my sister will be visiting and she will be driving my truck some - you all can chastise me when I get my truck back!
There are lots of things going on this weekend, especially Saturday, so read the paper!
