“Grand Ole Gospel Sing”
Wednesday, September 26, 2007 • Posted September 25, 2007

“The Grand Ole Gospel Sing” will be winding down this season with their last two events on Sundays, October 7th and November 4th. It’s been a great year with several hundred people from all over South Central Texas attending.

The “Gospel Sing” has had choirs come share their music from New Braunfels and San Antonio, not to speak of the many solos, duos, trios, and quartets that have auditioned and come to Texas Old Town to voluntarily sing for this event. What a season it has been!

For those who’ve not had a chance to come out to one of the “Gospel Sings,” we encourage you to give one of these last two events a try – come to Kyle for a great Sunday afternoon drive and some good ole gospel music. We know you’ll love it. After the last “Sing” in November, the season won’t start again until April 2008.

At the next “Gospel Sing,” Sunday, October 7th, at 4 o’clock at Texas Old Town, the line-up will consist of “Kids from Cameron” (Cameron, Texas), Kathy Carpenter – Christian Comedienne from Kerrville, Jeff Baergen & Bree Crowder from San Marcos, Dave & Carolyn McCall from Wimberley, Sandra Vasquez from Kyle, Lee Festervan from San Marcos and the Steel Magnolias (the most requested group on the program).

We have one group, a family from Wimberley, with eleven (yes ELEVEN) children, who will be coming to sing if the 12th child is born in ample time before the event.

This is the family of Bruce and Holly Collie. Bruce was a former pro-football player for the San Francisco 49ers and the Philadelphia Eagles.

Texas Old Town is located at 1205 Roland Lane in Kyle, Texas. Please call Debbie Daniel at (512) 757-4901 for more information or go to www.debbieddaniel.com and click on “GOSPEL SING.”
