Blanco United Methodist Church Announces VBS 2010
Wednesday, May 19, 2010 • Posted May 18, 2010

This summer Blanco United Methodist Church will become Hero HeadQuarters— where kids join forces with God, the Biggest Hero of all! At Hero Headquarters, kids will meet Bible heroes who are often overlooked. In fact, you might not know a single one of their names. These heroes were not famous leaders, and they did not perform amazing miracles — yet their small acts were used by God to do wonderful things!

Blanco UMC wants to help kids discover that if they’re willing to be used by God in any situation, no matter how big or small, they can make a difference. With God’s power at work, they can be heroes right where they are!

Great games, creative crafts, music with a message (and a beat), super story time, and lots of love will make Hero HeadQuarters something kids won’t want to miss!

Hero HeadQuarters will take place at the Blanco United Methodist Church, 61 Pecan Street, from Sunday, June 13, through Thursday, June 17, 5:30 PM – 8:00 PM.

It will be open to registration for those in Pre-K (4 years old) to those entering 5th grade in the fall of 2010. Supper will be served every night; Sunday, there will be a “Hamburger Kick-Off,” and Thursday will be an ice cream social night.

Contact Brad Hamman, Youth Director, at 830-833-5030 or go to http://www.vacation bibleschool.com/blancoumc to register online, get more information, and a take a sneak peek of all Hero HeadQuarters has to offer. You may also find registration forms at the Blanco Elementary School in the front office, Blanco Library, the Good Samaritan, and Blanco United Methodist Church.

T-shirts will be available for the children and will cost $12; please indicate what size shirt your child will need on your registration form.

More Vacation Bible School information is also available on the church website at www.blancoumc.org.
