Members of the Blanco County 4-H Clubs, put on your Saturday evening best and gather up at the Blanco County Showbarn for a good ‘ole country and western dance.
Saturday evening May 22, 2010 is the date for the first Summer’s Coming 4-H Dance.
Every member of the Blanco County 4-H is encouraged to attend as well as bring a guest (non member is okay).
The dance will begin at 7:00 pm and end at 10:00 pm. Tickets for the dance will be available at the door only on the night of the event and will be $3.00 each.
Music will be provided by the talented and whimsical Ronnie Batchelor. Photo souvenirs will also be available for $8.00 each.
Beverages and light refreshments will be available at the dance as well. For those members who are worried about not knowing how to dance or who need a refresher on the steps, don’t worry!
Dance lessons will be provided the morning of the dance from 10:00 am to noon. Lessons will feature the basic two step, waltz, and numerous line dances.
Parents are welcomed to chaperone however, there will be adult 4-H members at the dance.
Please know that once the members are inside the showbarn for the dance, they will not be allowed to “come and go”.
If they leave the dance another admission is required to reenter. Every member is encouraged to stay until their transportation has arrived.
This is the first event of its kind and the 4-H hopes that it will become a tradition within our county as a kick off to summer. See ya’ll there!
