Bonnie W. Eisenschmidt passed away May 25, 2010, at the age of 86. She was born in Blanco, Texas, on November 26, 1923, the youngest child of Herb and Maggie Wier.

A long-time resident of San Antonio, Bonnie worked as a bookkeeper and legal secretary. She enjoyed traveling and after retiring took several trips sponsored by Alamo Heights United Methodist Church, where she was a member and volunteer in various capacities for over 40 years.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Jack and Ralph Wier and her sister, Anne W. Collins. She is survived by her daughters, Leslie Shelburne and husband Michael, and Laura Sparkman, of San Antonio.

The family wishes to thank the nurses, aides, and staff of Trisun Care Center-Wurzbach for their skilled and compassionate care.

Visitation was at Crofts Funeral Home May 29 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Graveside services were held at the Blanco Cemetery on Saturday, May 29, at 11:00 a.m. A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 10, at 11:00 a.m. at Alamo Heights United Methodist Church in the Garden Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alamo Heights United Methodist Church or the Alzheimer’s Association, STAR Chapter.
