Mission Trip to Provide Opportunities for Youth Mission Work in Blanco
Wednesday, June 2, 2010 • Posted June 1, 2010

The second annual Blanco Mission Trip will take place the week of June 27 to July 2, 2010 in Blanco. Through the efforts of Northern Hill United Methodist Church in San Antonio, Blanco United Methodist Church and Trinity Lutheran Church of Blanco, we are providing a week for mission-minded youth to work in three areas of need in Blanco. We are expecting between 50 and 75 youth to participate.

The first area of mission work will be to provide paint projects, yard work/landscaping projects for the elderly, grounds clean-up at the Blanco Cemetery and nursing homes in Blanco.

The second area of mission work will be to provide a free Basketball Camp for all Blanco those who have just completed the 5th and will take place at the Second Mile facility (located on Pecan Street in Blanco) from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Registration forms are available at Blanco United Methodist Church (830.833.5030) and Trinity Lutheran Church (830.833.4771). Registration cut off date is Wednesday, June 23.

The third area of mission work will be to provide a free Kids Club. Kids Club is a vacation Bible school format for all kids ages Pre-K to 4th grade. Kids Club registration forms are available at Blanco UMC and Trinity Lutheran church. Again, registration cut off date is Wednesday, June 23.

If you’d like more information, please contact Brad Haman at Blanco UMC or Dayna Leggett at Trinity Lutheran.
