Wednesday, September 26, 2007 • Posted September 25, 2007

Guests of the Sept. 29 Gala XII: Harvest of Hope will be transported by motor coach to the Flying G Ranch at Grapetown.

The departure depot will be located at the Perry-Feller Professional Building, 205 West Windcrest on the hospital campus. Motor coaches will be transport guests to and from the ranch for both events.

For the brunch, the motor coaches will leave the depot at 10 a.m. Transportation for the evening gala will begin at 6:30 p.m. and continue throughout the evening.

Overflow parking will be behind the Quality Inn, just across Windcrest from the HCM Wellness Center’s indoor pools.

The biennial gala is a major fund-raising event for the hospital. This year, proceeds are earmarked for the purchase of digital mammography equipment and to provide seed money for the future Cancer Resource Center at Hill Country Memorial Hospital.

Benefit-drawing tickets for a $5,000 cash prize are still available for $5 each by calling the HCMH Foundation office at 830-997-1297, or go on-line at www.hcmhs.org and click on the Gala XII: Harvest of Hope icon.

Hospital gala sold out

The hospital gala is a sellout.

Sandy Goff, Hill Country Memorial Hospital Foundation executive director, said hospital supporters have purchased all available reservations for the Sept. 29 fundraiser including 330 for the daytime brunch and 1,000 for the evening event.

“We are so grateful to the very supportive communities that we are privileged to serve,” Ms. Goff said. “It’s an inspiration to see such high levels of interest, not only in helping us provide two important resources in our battle with cancer, but in the continuing good health of our local hospital. We sincerely appreciate everyone’s help.”
