Wednesday, June 9, 2010 • Posted June 8, 2010

This weekend, June 11-13, the square in Blanco will fill with the buzz of vendors and shoppers from all over, coming to enjoy the booths and sights and sounds of the 6th Annual Lavender Festival. Hosted by the Blanco Chamber of Commerce, the festival promotes Blanco’s trademark crop, lavender.

The weekend will be filled with activities, including speakers on all things lavender, musicians in Bindseil Park, wine and beer tasting, and great food. Four of the local lavender farms will be open for tours and visitors will be welcomed to cut their own lavender.

The market on the square will be open Friday 2pm -8pm, Saturday 9am-6pm and Sunday 9am-4:30pm. Farm tours will be on Friday 10am-4pm, Saturday 9am-6pm and Sunday 9am-4:30pm.

The Lavender Festival offers a little bit of something for everybody, so stop by and browse or go visit one of our great local lavender farms.
